Rise Up Bolivia started over 30 years ago. While living in Cochabamba, Bolivia, God put the country and it's people in our hearts. After moving to Canada in 2001 we began to pray about how to continue to help the Bolivian church from so far away.
In 2015 we took our first team to meet the Christians in Cochabamba, to begin a relationship with them. Since then we have taken 3 teams – 2015, 2017, 2019 - and brought 2 teams of people from the church to Canada in 2016 and 2018.
Our mission is to work alongside the Bolivian people, complementing their gifts with ours, for the furtherance of the Gospel in Cochabamba and beyond.
We go to Cochabamba with the purpose of encouraging the church, working alongside the Bolivian people in the work God has called them to. We also bring them here to help them learn and to enlarge their vision for what God can do through them.
We work with 2 main groups, both administered by Bolivian volunteers. We support them by giving advice, praying, helping financially, and encouraging them in the work God has called them to. All final decisions are made locally by the Bolivian directors of the individual groups.
